Today I’m 36 weeks pregnant. Can I believe it? No, so you shouldn’t be able to believe it either. Only 4 weeks until my due date.
This past weekend we celebrated my baby shower. It was held at my parents’ house and hosted by my mom and my sister.
It was perfect. We had lots of fun playing games – a nursery rhyme game, a guess what kind of chocolate bar made this poop in the diaper game, all kinds of fun stuff.
Then we ate. We feasted on my favourite shower food – little tea sandwiches, lots of veggies and fruit (complete with a chocolate fountain), dip, ambrosia salad, small sweets, and cake. Such great food and I loved it.
Then we got to open gifts for Baby Bee.
Our family and friends are so generous and loving. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives. We were showered with so many beautiful gifts for the baby. We laughed and cried (well, some of us cried). It was wonderful.
Here’s what Baby Bee’s nursery looks like when it’s piled with gifts. I definitely have some organizing and lots of laundry to do.
I can’t thank everyone enough for sharing this special day with our family. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you Mom, Dad, Jenn, everyone who brought food and helped out. I will remember this special day forever.
