Grocery Shopping and Meal Planning: February Week 2

Here we are, 6 weeks into meal planning. Things are going great, and I’m just so proud of us. As I sit here watching the Canadian women’s hockey team play

This is the list of groceries that ended up in our cart this week (we spent about $145):

bread
cheese
eggs
orange juice
heavy cream
baking chocolate
broccoli
sugar snap peas
nectarines
cilantro
frozen corn
evaporated milk
frozen shrimp
yogurt
dried thyme
butter
croissants
sliced pre-cooked chicken breast
greek salad dressing
caesar salad dressing
dry non-fat milk
bouillon powder
avocado oil
vegetable oil

I’ll be trying 3 new recipes this week – a homemade creamed corn, Skinnytaste’s Cilantro Lime Shrimp, and a recipe I saw on pinterest for cream soup base.

Here are the meals we’ll be throwing together this week:

Breakfasts – yogurt, smoothies, boiled eggs on toast with avocado, fruit, toast w PB, coffee

Lunches – creamed corn with cilantro lime shrimp, hot dogs, salad, sandwiches, leftovers, granola bars

Dinners –

Saturday – we’re invited to dinner at a friend’s house – I’m taking for dessert
Sunday –
Monday – burgers and fries
Tuesday – cream of broccoli and cheddar soup, garlic bread
Wednesday – white fish with mayo and parmesan, mashed potatoes, broccoli
Thursday – pizza and caesar salad
