Classic recipe ahead!
These chocolate confetti squares always remind me of the holidays, sweet trays, and church bake sales. They’re a real favourite of mine. With the coloured mini marshmallows they are just to pretty!
We don’t eat peanut butter in our house, so I substituted soy nut butter for the peanut butter in the original recipe. Worked like a charm.
The real challenge with making these squares? Trying not to eat the whole pan by yourself. It’s nearly impossible.
[Recipe] Chocolate Confetti Squares
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup peanut butter (or soy nut butter)
1/4 cup butter
1 pkg coloured mini marshmallows (250 grams)
Prepare a square baking dish by spraying it with non-stick spray.
In a medium saucepan, melt the chocolate, nut butter, and butter together over low heat.
Once melted and smooth, remove the chocolate mixture from the heat and wait about 15 minutes for the mixture to cool. Add the marshmallows to the chocolate.
Mix well, coating all of the marshmallows with the chocolate.
Press the mixture firmly into the prepared pan.
Refrigerate until set.
