The Frilly Apron’s 12 Days of Christmas are here again!

This year’s list starts with a recipe from a lady very near and dear to my heart – my great grandmother Della.

I credit Gram with instilling a love of baking in me very early in my life. Most of the time I spent at her home was spent in her kitchen, mixing and baking up a storm, usually for my uncle Bennett. We made Ben’s favourite a lot – double chocolate chip cookies.

Today’s recipe isn’t for double chocolate chip cookies, but it’s for one of my favourite cookies this time – sugar cookies. I’ve been searching high and low for the perfect sugar cookie recipe, but didn’t find it until I found this recipe in one of Gram’s old handwritten notebooks.

These cookies are perfection.
