Triple chocolate gooey bars.

I discovered gooey bars after reading a Buzzfeed article. That article took me to a great blog called Crazy for Crust, where I found the recipe for lemon gooey bars.

I made those lemon gooey bars. Instead of using white chocolate, I substituted shredded coconut. Lovely.

After making the lemon gooey bars, I got to dreaming about gooey bars and the infinite possibilities you could come up with to make them.

These triple chocolate gooey bars are the next incarnation of gooey bars I decided to try. I had a few white chocolate chips and a can of chocolate sweetened condensed milk in my pantry. That’s all I needed to get going. Picked up a chocolate cake mix, and here we are.

Triple chocolate gooey bars.

Thank you, Crazy for Crust, for this fantastic, versatile, easy recipe. Well, I thank you, but my hips – my hips are not talking to you.

I changed the original recipe for gooey bars ever so slightly after making my first batch, adding a bit more sweetened condensed milk for a bit more gooeyness.

Enjoy!
